Hello everybody,
This week was a busy week! Maya is still not 100%, but hs improved some. She needed a chest xray (which was in what could only be described as a torture chamber) (torture for her and me who had to hold her hands above her head). We successfully went to the YMCA twice this week. Maya went into play care for the first time while I took Ezra to a gym program (the first time). The second time I decided, forget gym for kids what about me? They both went into play care and I went and worked out. I think I enjoyed this and will plan to do this again. At times when getting ready I wondered if it was really worth trying to get them both ready, fed, and with clean diapers. Then, I had 90 minutes to myself and thought... so worth it!
On Tuesday we took the kids to a coworker of Phil's daughter's book launch at Chapters. After some time at the Thomas Train Table we had a chance to chat with Natalie about her new book "She takes on the world" We even got our own signed copy. On the way back from the book signing was probably the strangest thing that happened this week. We were dropping Phil off at his car in the Toyota parking lot and there was a goose lurking about. Phil got out to head to the car and the goose took a lunge, a real lunge and ended up hitting Phil with his wings and chasing him back to the car. It was a laugh out loud moment (sorry Phil, but it was funny). So here we were all four of us in the car, trying to figure out how to outsmart a goose. I hate Canada Geese. They have to be the most rude, egocentric, holier than thou birds ever. . We ended up having to creep the car close enough that Phil could jump out of the car and into the Matrix. The goose then had the nerve to sit on the hood of my car and stare me down. I strongly dislike the Canadian Goose. Even funnier, a couple of days later Phil had parked three rows away from that area and the same goose did a fly by about two feet above him. If that's not bad goose karma, I don't know what it.
We have offficially started the 2 year old potty talk. I have never said the words pee and poo so much. Daddy pees, mommy pees. The toliet is where Mommy and Daddy pee. The potty is where Ezra pees. Everytime I change Maya's diaper, Ezra pipes in "poo" as if I didn't know! He is very interested in sitting on the potty as well AND he went successfully twice this week! He is also trying the potty at day care. I wasn't really thinking about thinking about potty training until the summer so while I am excited, I am also not ready to pull out the training underwear and go to it. For now, whenever he asks to go on the potty and if he goes we give him lots of positive praise. Maybe, by summer he will magically potty train himself and then I won't have to do it. If I am still blogging by summer, I will try to remember this statement and then you can laugh when I start complaining about how difficult he is being with potty training.
That's it for now, here are a few pics and a cute video of Ezra doing his "jumps' on the trampoline.
Love, Leah, Phil, Ezra and Maya

| I can put my fist in my mouth! |
 |
| Ya, I'm cute! |
 |
| Ezra has become quite the helper (note, we do try to give her the bottle, but she has recently decided it is not her preference) |
 |
| Just call me the nightime streaker... this was the picture I could post! Maybe potty training isn't a bad idea... |
 |
| Ezra's imaginative play is really coming along. Before Christmas it would be difficult for him to sit on his own like this. Now, he spends alot of time playing with cars, his barn animals... he gets really focused. |
 |
| Hey, still cute... I think she might have spent too much time in the swing this week... or it's the only time I thought to take a picture! |
